Venlo und Enschede in den Niederlanden - 2011
Besucht wurden mit dem NRW-Geburtstagsticket 2011 in Verbindung mit dem Erweiterungsticket Venlo, und mit dem NRW-Geburtstagsticket Enschede. An diesem Wochenende hieß es wieder, wie so üblich, „Einen Tag Zahlen – Drei Tage Fahren“, da der NRW-Geburtstag mit dem 03.10.2011 zusammen gefallen ist. In Venlo wurde zunächst ein Besuch am Bahnhof abgestattet, weiter ging es in die Altstadt, und wieder zurück an der Maas zum Bahnhof. In Enschede fand ein großer Stadtbummel statt, natürlich auch über den großen Samstagmarkt im Zentrum. Und was besonders in Holland auffällt, dass mindestens 30 % mit einen elektrischen E-Scooter unterwegs sind, um schneller und bequemer fort zu kommen.

Im dritten Teil wurden Walporzheim, Heimersheim und Bad Bodendorf besucht. Charakteristisch für alle drei Städte ist, dass diese in der Weinregion Ahr liegen, und desweiteren an einer sehr romantischen Nebenbahn, der Ahrtalbahn.
